    Who-nos,

I am sorry to hear that the serial number is not being recognized. It might be due to the age of the system and that would explain why the serial number is not recognized.

However, I would be glad to see if I am able to help resolve whatever issues you are facing.

    Who-nos,

I understand you want to run a System File Checker, however if you are running Windows 8.1 that mean you installed Windows 8. This computer to my knowledge shipped with Windows Vista. If it shipped with Windows 7 and you updated to Windows 8, then I can only suggest you reinstalling the software and going through the upgrade process again as we are not able to provide you with the Windows 8/8.1 media.

As for your drivers, I can tell you do not need to perform a SFC and because of the age of this unit the only drivers we have available will be found on our support site if they're any. Also if your system is working fine outside the Graphics, then you could visit Nvidia and download their latest video driver to see if that resolves the problem.

I understand this is not what you were looking for but I think it is the only thing I can suggest.
