Acer V Nitro issue: display is very dark / dim. How can i make it brighter?

I have tried:

1) Disabling Adaptive Brightness

2) Turning the bightness settings to max

3) Trying the brightness settings in the Intel Graphics configurator

Please help. The laptop is much darker than any other laptop i've ever had. I have a Yoga 2 and a Macbook Retina 13 that are both much brighter.

Its very hard to see Smiley Sad

Have you checked if any new VGA driver in available?

when you set brightness from min to max, did you see any change?

Yes i do see a difference when changing the brightness BUT at 100% still very dim.

Check gaminglaptopjunky's review of it. He also has the same problem. Display is advertised as 300nits on average but he measured only 200 nits. Same as me.

    Something is wrong

Its just odd that a good reviewer like Gaming Laptop Junky has it as well.
