to acer dealer here in NZ and was informed that the physical left and right buttons are not configured to actualy work. I was informed they tried my keyboard on a another tablet unit, and got the same result. Also tried my tablet unit on a new keyboard, and nothing. Can anybody confirm to me that their buttons are working on their switch 10 ? I find this all a load of *****. If they are there, they should work, correct? Havent contacted Acer yet, but am about to. Trackpad/mouse working fine,as is finger tapping for left click plus two finger tap for right click. Cheers

It might help if you mentioned what app you are using when testing for the Left/Right buttons. Using Firefox and the Amazon start page, my Left, Right, Up and Down all scroll the page perfectly.

It would be insane to sell a device with any keyboard buttons not working. You need to contact the General Manager of the company and him/her know what the idiots on tech-support are saying.

In reply to FerryAnoid; it doesnt matter what app or what screen, they just do nothing.

Have spoken to Acer tech support, and they are definately meant to work, (of course) have sent unit back to retailer for replacement. Heres hoping.

Got my replacement today, left and right click working fine. YAHOO. But...... now to get an @  to type , I have to use : shift/" , plus someone else mentioned that their first key-stroke doesnt register, same here. There is definately a major problem of varying faults, with these keyboards. ACER, you must address this problem, you canotsell faulty products and walk away!! Come on, fess up and sort it for goodness sake, please.

Is there a chance the keyboard is setup for a different language? That often move the punctuation keys around...

The dropped keys issue can be mitigated by changing power savings setting on the keyboards USB properties in Device Manager, but it will still sometimes need a keypress to wake up if unused for awhile.

Hi to all and sundry, I have investigated my keyboard issues, was indeed the keyboard language thingy causing weirdness. If english US is selected, seems ok for a while, then English UK kicks back in and does strange **bleep** again.Only in shift mode it seems. Also had a problem with Google Chrome being in Dutch! (I am in NZ) after a lot of fiddling around with language and location and time zone settings, finally got rid of Dutch talk.Oh well, looks like we are all stuck with weird keyboards. Shame, because these are quite brilliant little machines.

Top performance for a 10 inch netbook/tablet. Cheers.
