Uh oh, you really needed to do a full system backup before installing. You can purchase the original recovery discs from Acer and restore that way, but without a backup you won't get back exactly what you had before.

People: please read this before trying Windows 10. It is easy to create a restore image if you do it first.

See here on how to create an image. Scroll down to the section on Windows 8.1 and file history.

Also note that the normal preview and the enterprise edition preview have different keys. This is important if you play with Windows to Go.

If you are able to boot properly, just follow the File History instructions to make a full backup image.

Did you go to File History>System Image Backup ? You need to have a large enough drive connected to hold the image.

On a Switch 10, File History says  it backs up files Documents, Music, Pictures and Desktop.

I don't use any of those locations for storing my files so what's the point?

I need a full image backup using the Shadow Copy process. How do I do that with wn8.1 before installing win10?

    Thanks
