windows 8 wont boot unless i go to f12 and select efi windows boot manger. the boot order in the bios has the hd set as first in the boot order, but will say when powering on no boot device. I hav to reboot and quickly hit f12 and scrool down to efi windows boot maanager and it starts up fine then but doing this is a hassle.

Try pressing F2 on startup to enter the BIOS, and resetting the BIOS defaults.
