Just had my Aspire E15 for a month and even though the power supply lights are on it fails to start up and just have a blank screen with the pointer mouse on.

Customer service is not open weekends - any help much appreciated as laptop needed for urgent presentation on Monday.

Can you hear the fan noise? do you see any faint sign of display?

Anyway, try removing the battery, disconnect the mains, press power button for 20 secs and leave it for a while, re-connect the mains and see what happens.

    EDIT:

You need to disassemble to remove the battery and will affect your warranty according your location, so be warnned, if you are not confident about removing the battery, I'm afraid you have to approach Acer Tech support.

Thanks - good advice - bit frustrating that a simple task of remving the battery would invalidate the warranty.

Seems like I'll have to wait until monday morning! Smiley Sad

    Appreciate your help

No problem, it's very strange this new model behaves like that, Acer should repair it or replace it under warranty, Good luck.

Just the latest - my problem seems to have cured itself as a result of repeated attempts at keeping the start button down.

The computer seemed to then click into gear - it seemed like to have had some blockage (apologies for the lack of technical explanation)

If anyone from Acer reads this would be interested in fionding out what the problem was and if it's indicative of any underlying problems.
