My year old Aspire S7 is getting way hotter then it used to.  I know that Haswell CPU's run hotter then Ivy Bridge but I am seeing temps above 80 Celcius when sitting at my desk with it plugged in.  Is there anything I can do to fix this.  I used some compressed air to blow out the fans but it is still getting really hot.

Have you tried unscrewing the bottom casing to take a glimpse at what is going on inside your laptop, have you checked that both your fans are running properly?  Also have you checked your task manager to see how much of your cpu is being utilized while "idle"?
