For sure you can install an USB wifi dongle at least.

can you tell the USB wifi dongle brand and model?

First I tried to mount a internal WIFI card in the PCIe slot, Asus AC68. It is ok in device manager, but is greyed out in Network manager and can not be activated. Then I tried a Comfast USB dongle WN730A. Also ok in device manager and it did activate ok. But there is no Wifi network. Trying repair the message for both: Posible problem with wifi driver. The router is ok I have more devices and no problem with them. Either WIFI can not be installed in x1935, or I have a defect main board or a defect Windows. I think maybe defect windows is the case. But I needed to know if there is limitation for installing wifi in x1935. Thanks!

Have you disabled the on board LAN cable connection and check if this enable the wifi connection?

Yes, I did many times. There is no Wifi connections at all, even if I know it is there. So to go further I need to know for sure that it is possible to establish a wifi connection with this PC. If it is I will have to reinstall Windows andf see if I have better luck. So you can tell for sure that this should be possible? I appreciate your help!

I'm not 100% sure that you can install a Wi-Fi to your PC but i would find it strange that you can't.

have you checked on "services" if Wi-Fi or WLAN services was started?

EDIT: check also on device manager if driver is working correctly, double click on the wifi adapter and see if any error message is in the main tab (device status)

Just wanted to add that Windows was the problem. Reinstalled and are now ejoying Wifi speed 700-900 Mbps with my Asus AC68,with Win 8.1. So it is OK to install wifi card in the PCIe slot for this PC.
