Acer X233H LCD Monitor
Immediatey following the latest automatic Windows 7 Update my Acer monitor refuses to stay in the "Standard" screen brightness setting. The monitor's brighness is fine while the op sys loads, but then becomes subdued when the desktop appears. Microsoft claims that their updates have no bearing on monitor settings. I have tried the little italic e and the AUTO buttons on the monitor whick works fine until the system is turned off then on again. What can be done?

If you have a restore point, you can use Windows system restore. Here is a link explaining that process.

I don't see that we have a Windows 7 driver posted for this product which generally means that Windows 7 will use a built in plug and play driver. My only suggestion at this time would be to try to identify the update that is causing the problem, and roll back to before the update was installed, and run Windows updates without that one selected.

Thanks, but not sure how to "roll back" to previous update. Can you help with this also?
