[Iconia W4] No full screen when connecting to TV

Hi all,

I just get the Iconia W4-820 tablet.

When I am connecting the device to my old Full HD Philipps TV with micro HDMI, the display on the TV is not at full screen.

This is the case when I choose to duplicate the display on TV but when I extend only the secondary screen, the display on TV is now at full screen.

I tried to change the resolution and many things in the display settings but I still have a stamp mode when I duplicate the display.

If anyone is able to find the solution that would be so great for me !

Many thanks to the community

That's actually pretty much the way it's supposed to work. If the TV doesn't expand the duplicated signal you should see the same resolution on the TV as on the tablet. It'll be a much sharper image that way, without scaling artifacts.

Have you tried the "panel fit" options?

    Thanks for your answer.

I think there are no solutions.

When I choose the extended screen on my TV, I have the choice of high resolutions that let me to display almost at full screen (best fit ratio is something like 1600x900).

When I choose to duplicate the screen to my TV, resolution is limited to 1280 x 800, that corresponds to the max resolution of the screen of the tablet but on my TV I obtain a stamp that fills only 50% of my screen.

Thank you anyway for contributors on this topic.

I just hope I did not discovered the whole possibilities !
