I went to device manager , right clicked at unknown device, select Properties, select Details tab, and I got this...

Trouble is, I am not able to find that driver highlighted in blue.

Can someone help?

Thank you.

On property drop down menu, choose HardwareIDs , click on the first value and copy/paste here

Where can I find HardwareID ?

As shown on my previous screenshot, the Properties drop down menu has no HardwareID option.

Right click at Unknown Device will give the following options.....

    Update driver software

    Disable

    Uninstall

    Scan for hardware changes

    Yes. Iconia W3-810 windows tablet.

System says it cannot find the driver to install. Told me to go to Manufacturer website.

What I got from Acwer Drivers website is a 2.0 version, BUT my tablet says it is NOT compatible. I ended up installing the same one but 1.0 verson. IT does not help my issue at all.

From the support page on you screenshot, select Windows 8.1 from the drop down menu and download 2.01 drivers package.

unpack the .zip file, then from Device manager, select to update the drivers of your device, Browse my computer for driver software, click Browse and go to the unpacked folder and search for BT folder under MI\Drivers
    Driver_Acer_2.01_W8x86_W81x86\MI\Drivers\BT

    then click next.

    if the update fails

You need to install drivers manually,

from Device manager, select to update the drivers of your device, Browse my computer for driver software,

Let me pick from a list....Have disk and browse to the BT folder as above and select "BtwSerialBus.inf", then OK and next.

I omitted to mention, both 2.0 and 2.01 versions failed..... not compatible.

i installed the 1.0 version. The only one that was accepted.

As to manual update, I also tried both ways..... Online and from my computer. Both results failed to find the driver.

Think I will use my 2 Recovery disks ( came with the tablet ) and restore back to Day 1.

That would be a humongous pain !!!

Either that, or I'll settle with listening music through an external speaker.

That's the only way for me as of now.

    Thank you for the help.

You could try unistalling and reinstalling the broadcom wireless adapter; bluetooth is actually part of the same hardware.

    Failed with "have disk" too?

so strange, since the hardware string is present and perfect match.

By the way, Plastixx suggestion is good too.

If I uninstall the broadcom wireless adapter, how do I re-install it ?

    Thank you.
