AC adapter led goes out

I have a Aspire 7551-2747, 3 years old, and recently it began to shut off on its own (no warning), I would leave it sit for 20-30 minutes and then restart it (figuring it was getting too hot, which it does). Now, it shut off and the AC adapter led is off. When I unplug the adapter from the laptop and the wall outlet, then plug it back into the wall outlet first, the led is green against, as soon as I plug it into the laptop, the led goes out.

It has been getting really hot according to Core Temp it will go as high as 90 degrees. The ac adapter checks okay with 19 volts approximately. I removed each Ram card and no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

f you look at step #19 you will see an arrow pointing to the AC Jack. Just to left of it is a tan colored Non Polarity Capacitor, which when tested (VOM) has absolutly no reading what-so-ever. Compared to other capacitors from other laptops, they all show a reading, my guess is its blown. What is the value and can it be replaced instead of buying another MB? As for the AC Adapter,I am getting consistened reading of 19.5V, even just the Battery will not power it up, no blue led,no fan coming on,no beeps.
