Memory Socket - Acer Aspire E1-510 Laptop 4th Gen Pentium Quad Core

I recently bought the laptop, It came with 2GB DDR3L SDRAM, i wanted to upgrade to total 4GB & accordingly bought another 2GB SO-DIMM. However, on opening the memory compartment, i was shocked to see that there is no Socket to hold the second SODIMM.

My questions:

-why isn't the second connector there?
-How do i upgrade my total RAM now?

-In case i get the second socket soldered from some professional, will this work?

I mean, is there any chance of some other discrete component not being soldered?

-Can someone provide me the part number of the socket to be ordered?

Thanks.

    green,

So that I can provide a more specific explanation for your product, please provide your specific model; E1-510-XXXX, or the first 10-digits of your serial number so I can see how it was configured from factory. I do know that some of our models do not ship with more than one memory slot and can only be upgraded using the single slot provided.

It does look like this system is only expandable using the single slot. So to get more RAM you will have to buy a larger single Dimm module.

    Did you buy DDR3L ??

The L is for low voltage or 1.35V. I tried to upgrade with a regular DDR3 stick that runs at 1.5V and it wouldn't work.
