CRISIS RECOVERY CD

Hello,

Suddenly, Windows froze completely (even power button) on my Acer Aspire 9300-5884 notebook, so I had to unplug and disconnect the battery to restart it but the system never came up again, all what I got is power button green light and a black screen, no error message, no beep, absolutely nothing.. I did a lot of research over the internet then found many forums talking about the computer BIOS, it was a common issue on some acer notebook series with Phoenix BIOS onboard.

According to those they had the same problem on the same notebook model, I need a CRISIS RECOVERY CD, I followed the instructions to recover the BIOS using a USB Flash or a Floppy Disk but it didn't work because in CRM (Crisis Recovery Mode) the computer completely ignores the USB the 4 USB ports, the only way left to boot the computer in CRM and flash the BIOS is using CRISIS RECOVERY CD, the only way to get the CD is from Acer technical support.

I need the computer for my studies, so would you mind please to considered my request.

Great thanks in advance.

Here some informations about my computer :

MODEL # : Aspire 9300-5884

Good luck getting Acer support to help you with this issue. i have replied to a simialar post before. Acer denies having Crisis recovery disks. Its my belief is that Acer is uninterested in helping you with support in this issue. After all, They would rather sell you a new computer than help you with your problem. If your computer is under warranty it may be a different story. You may want to try posting your issue on the acer forums on notebookreview.com
