Can anyone help? My laptop can only get limited connectivity

I was wondering if anyone can help. My Acer aspire E1-571 can't connect to the Internet or it does but the connection is limited. It's starting to get ridiculous.

It came with windows 8 and got updated to windows 8.1.

I've tried altering the settings and that does not change anything at all.

I've turned flight mode on and off doesn't do anything.

I've tried switching off atheros and updating it but neither work because I don't have atheros on my system...at all. And I haven't got an atheros router and I don't see it in device manager.

I've tried doing a PC refresh but my computer won't even let me start the refresh.

I can't troubleshoot the problem because do this you have to Internet to even start the troubleshoot (the logic of modern computers; you need the Internet to find out why your Internet won't work) and the offline troubleshoot can identify there is a problem but can't identify what problem or how to fix it.

And if you're going to recommend me updating or installing my drivers. You need the Internet to that. And I don't have the Internet so I can't do anything about installing drivers.

But then how did I write this up on here? I'm the vastly more superior and obviously better mac to do all my stuff. So I might just go an return that crappy laptop and just do everything on my mac from now on. Good luck trying to help, i guarantee you won't be able to do this one.

    1) WiFi or Lan problem?

    2) press Windows Key + X, select device manager, check if any yellow exclamation mark is present

Uninstall the wireless driver in Device Manager, you have already mentioned that it's not Atheros, so it should be either Broadcom or Intel, connect the laptop with Ethernet, then install the WiFi driver and see whether it solves the problem.

I even took it into the shop they said there can't be anything wrong with it

Tried that and it still doesn't work. In fact I don't have broadcom or intel there either. Strange

from desktop press Windows logo, write CMD, select "command prompt", on command prompt write without quote "ipconfig /all" , press enter

then click on the upper left corner the little icon, choose "edit" then "select all", press enter and paste here.

I typed it in correctly but it just say's command unknown. Even if it did work I wouldn't be able to transfer it over here. Because I'm typing this on my mac not the pc. I've tried quite a few times and it just says command unknown or or unkown error and then shuts the program down and I won't be able to access it for a few hours.

you must type it on your PC and the command must work, you can copy as i told you and save it on a text file with word pad, copy the text file to an USB pen and then open it with you Mac and copy here.

or take some picture with a camera or phone (remember to take pics off all the strings) of your CMD screen and upload it here.

     ipconfig

This problem happens due to weak signal most often. So first try to move your laptop closer to the router and see if it fix the problem. If not it might be a problem with the router itself. Try resetting the router using the pin point located somewhere on the router using a pen or some some narrow sharp things and try connect again.
