Acer 582pg 6854 ethernet flap broken; back cover replacement possible?

Hi,

I bought this laptop off Acer's ebay store refurbrished, and just received it yesterday. I tried to test out the wifi but the connection said limited just on this computer for some reason. I spent several hours trying to remedy this, but I had no luck. I finally gave up and decided to stick to ethernet until I move away for college. Today, however, as I was plugging an ethernet cable, there was a spring and a plastic piece that fell out of the flap, making it extremely loose and rendering even a wired connection unusable. I believe that the flap only exists on the back cover of the laptop; is it possible for me to buy a replacement back cover and remedy this? Thank you.

    Hello ipdx,

Could you post a picture of the ethernet port?

WP_20140805_018.jpgHere's a pic of it. Currently, I'm using a "ghetto" solution by taping some paper under it so that so that the normal force would allow the pins to connect.

    Hello,

I had many difficulties to understand but I found.

This piece is located on the lower side like this model. Your ethernet connector isn't hold (it falls).

The part number of the lower case is:

60.M9YN7.088LOWER CASE FOR ULTRA BOOK (V7)

I don't understand why this part isn't sold individually. Expensive for a small piece!!!

Sorry if I was a bit unclear in my description haha. I think I found a cheaper one right here with much faster shipping. I don't think I can go with your seller anyway since shipping would take 10-20 days and I'm leaving for college in 2 weeks. Thanks for all the help!
