Hi acer guys, I have Liquid S1 and have updated it to latest version. I have a problem on moving apps from internal storage to SD card. I have 32gb Class 10 SD installed.

I have tried to move all moveable apps to SD, but I notice that its not actually move to SD, its data still inside internal storage. I also tried to use file manager n move the data manually to sd card android/data or android/obb but the apps become not working. Now my phone memory is not enough to install games with more than 1gb data size

Please share how to move apps from internal to external with the apps data in the SD Card and the apps working?

Thanks

You can't move all the application to SD, it will move just some data or the application will not run.

To free some data, check where your pics/video recording are saved, you can move also music folder on SD.

@IronFly: All media files are in SD already, and what I want is not just to free some memory.

I like to know how to install an apps and move them to SD, while all android/data/ or android/obb also moved to SD, not stay in emulated storage. Because emulated storage is not SD, it just a partition of internal storage.

On google I found similiar case, and I found an answer that we have to use an apps called Link2SD. But unfortunately it need ROOT ACCESS. And I dont know how to root this phone, have tried many ways but all failed.

Ok now i understand what you mean.
I will try on my S1 as soon as possible.

About root, S1 is the most locked device i ever seen from Acer.

You are right, when you use "move to SD" the S1 move only a little part of the application to the real SD and the most to the internal storage.....but....this is the "correct" behaviour (honestly i would like, as you, to be able to move nearly all the content do the SD but this involve formating to ext2 a SD partition and rooting your device).

also other brands advise about that:

    • Moving an application to the SD card only moves the application executable and resources, any data which the application needs (cache, data) might still reside on internal storage (unless the application specifically use the Android 4.4. API)
    • Ultimately, it’s up to the application developer to decide whether an app can be moved to the SD card. Only applications which follow the Android install location guidelines can be moved, and there are certain class of apps which can’t be moved to the card. If your favorite app can’t be move to your SD card, please contact the application developer first
