What changes are you trying to make and exactly what are you trying to do?

Are you pressing F10 and selecting Yes to Save and Exit?

Does your system keep time correctly?

Wont boot on startup ! When starting with XP disk it goes only to Windows XP setup, Recovery or Exit  but all goes to a message 'invalid path' ! replaced battery but still no results All CMOS settings are O. Time is ok!

Replaced OEM hard drive with Hatichi Sata with IDE to SATA conversion. Now I get HD detection in CMOS but still no connection to Windows on startup except for a faint flash of the Windows splash screen !

I don't really have many Ideas on where the problem would be unless it is related to hardware incompatibility from the conversion or the specific drive. It could also be a drive formatting issue, but that seems unlikely. Do you have a standard IDE drive you can get access to test with?

Could any components have been damaged during the HDD swap? It is possible it is a hardware problem.

My oem IDE hard drive is euchered I think because it was clicking continually ! I agree with u that the problem is likely & not the bios !
