Hi there,

I have V3-772G laptop with linux on it. My question is: how to upgrade the bios to the latest version 1.15? Can I use something like Hiren's BootCD with Mini windows XP?

Thank you.

I didn't found InsydeFlash for linux, so I flash it with Hiren's BootCD with Mini windows XP. Bios was on USB flash drive because HDDs were not detected.

    Thank you.

if i remember, there is a InsydeFlash tool for linux available on the web, need to google.

then you can download the Bios update from Acer website, open the .zip and .exe file with 7z and extract the Insyde bios to flash with the linux tool.

or you can make a bootable DOS USB pen and google for the InsydeFlash tool for DOS system.

Thank you I will search for it.

P.S. Do you know is it possible to disable integrated video card (no such option in BIOS 1.13 it's very simple)?
