t230h touch monitor not responding after no activity

I have just noticed that if I don't touch the monitor, within about 5-10 minutes it stops

responding. I thought the USB was not in, so I unpluged it and then it works just fine for a while.

Would anyone know if there is a drive update?

This is a standalone computer, running windows 7 home prof, NOT connected to the internet. It is being used for a Vertual Theahter Organ software

the touch monitor is used to select voices as if you were at a real organ. This just started recently.

Thanks

All downloads available for your computer will be posted at http://www.acer.com, click on Support, then click Drivers and Manuals.

Since you say the problem is recent, it is very possible some software on the computer is interferring with the touch driver. You may try a Windows system restore, to restore your computer to a time when it was working, to see if that resolves the issue, or you can try uninstalling programs that you have recently installed. You can also try the monitor on another computer to make sure the problem is not with the monitor.

    Thank you for responding,

No new software was installed on this computer. This computer is strictly used for Virtual Theater Organ software and once installed, nothing is added.

However, what I did do, I went into control panel and followed the

calibration procedure, as shown in the Acer manual,  So far this has worked.

I don't remember doing this when the monitor was first installed.

I left the computer running without any activity and it appears to be working

If it does act up, I will try what you said about moving it to another computer.

    any comments?
