Hi everyone,

So I can't use my NFC.. I tried connecting my phone today (with NFC) to a sound system, pushed NFC on in the settings,.. but notting happend..
The NFC box is ticked, but the text is gray not white (I think white is "active"?) And also an NFC app from Sony says that my NFC is dissabled... Any idea's?

Thx

Yes NFC is only to transmit little infos package not for streaming.

If you saw the icon times ago, maybe a factory reset will be a good try, you will loose all your phone data!

    System settings/backup & reset/factory data reset

If NFC will not work after the reset, maybe is an hardware problem.

I need to know the model and brand of your sound system, just to understand if any application is needed to pair NFC.

also the E1 android version and build number:
    system settings/about phone

By the way, i think you know that after enabling NFC you need to be very close to the device to pair (nearly touching it).

    Sony, HT-CT60BT

E1 android 4.1.1. (wanting an update like every one lese Smiley Wink ) .. can you be more specific about the build numer? (I got in settings: Kernel-version, Acer SW version, Modelnumber (V360) .. )

Yeah I know, I placed it against it (actualy touching it, to be sure).

    Thx in advance!

i have enough information, build number is similar to this:

    AV051.V360.2.001.01.WW.GEN1s

on "NFC  easy connect" application, the description says that is not needed from android 4.1 version, so i think you don't need it.

i don't have an E1 single SIM version but on other NFC devices, after you activate it, a notification icon must appear on the top bar, waiting to another NFC to pair.

on the E1 Single SIM version:

    Near Field Communication
Your device contains a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip that enables it to
communicate with other NFC devices to send and recieve tags such as contact
information, Google maps, and YouTube links.

Note: Information exceeding 1 MB in size is not recommended to send via NFC.

To enable NFC, open the Applications menu and tap Settings > More... > NFC.
The box next to NFC will have a check when turned on. To be able to transmit NFC
tags, ensure the Android Beam is turned on by tapping Android Beam (below NFC)
and tap ON in the top-right corner.

Note: To send or recieve tags your phone must be powered on and not in sleep
    mode.

    1. With NFC enabled and Android Beam on, open the application you want to
    transmit information from.
    2. Navigate to the speific information you want (a People contact, a YouTube video,
    a Google map, or others).
    3. To transmit the information to another NFC device, place the backside of your
phone at least 4 cm from the other device.
    4. When "Touch to Beam" appears, tap the screen to transmit.

    Receiving tags
    1. Ensure NFC is enabled (Android Beam doesn't have to be on to receive tags).
    2. To recieve the information, place the backside of your phone at least 4 cm from
the NFC device that is transmitting the information.

my muild number is: Acer_AV05_V360_2.001.01_WW_GEN1s (which is same as you wrote probably? )

Then I miss-read the instructions for the app, but still is usefull because now I know my NFC wont turn on... (and apperently the NFC option is just to connect bluetooth easly on the Sony device, I don't think it will stream music using NFC itself)

Here is a screenshot of my settings trying to turn on NFC (which doesn't happen...) I remember when I just got the phone I did see an icon showing when it was turned on (Never used it though)

It doesnt give an error or anything... SO hardware or software issue?

You're allready a great help, thanks man!

Kudos up! (still looking for a solution off course Smiley Tongue )
