Ferrari migration to SSD

Hi all,

I bought a SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250GB to replace the original hd hitachi 250 GB. I tried all the possible clone softwares (Macrium Reflex, Aomei Backupper and also the Samsung Migration Data) but the operation fails and the Netbook does not boot. I also bought and external DVD-RW to use the Windows recovery disk, changing the boot priority in bios but the Netbook starts, black screen and continues to restart as in a loop.

How can I complete the operation?

Thanks and ciao!

I want to migrate HDD to SSD EVO 840 500GB, but the Acer protecte the Recovery Partition, becuse you need to clone all the partition to SSD. I do not know how to clone it becuse it is protected it.

instead of 'clone' try using 'create image' of all the partitions to an external drive then do 'restore' using boot CD/USB to the new drive.  Macrium will create images of the hidden restore partition.

even though both drives say 250GB you might need to shrink a partition a little bit before creating the image to ensure you can complete the transfer, you can always expand it back once installed if there is 'unassigned' space.
