HELP! Reinstall windows 7 to acer aspire one tried option to retain files where are drivers?

I've screwed up. My acer aspire one wasn't giving me the option to save docs from emails or download and run programs. Decided to reinstall windows7. I researched it, thought I knew what I was doing. I think I backed it up on another hard drive. I chose the option to keep my files, not restore to factory settings. I then tried to reinstall. No luck. I have the windows old file. Anyway, in desperation I installed a dell windows 7 cd. I know. Anyway. Now I have that installed (which I probably don't want} I just want my old files back. I cant get internet right now. No drivers? I don't know. I'd just like to get back my previous version with my files. I've tried everything I could think of and did a lot of research. Can anyone help me?
I think I need to get rid of this Dell windows I installed and need someone to help me reinstall my windows 7. My laptop does not have a DVD player nor did it come with a cd. I am sitting here waiting for anyone who can help me. I really need my computer back Smiley Sad THANK You!!!!

    hi..

You may try restoring windows 7 from the recovery partition. It will install the Operating System, all the pre-installed Software and the drivers of your system.

During the process, all data stored on your computer will be overwritten. This means all your files, such as email and photos, will be erased. Therefore, we recommend making a backup of all personal data before starting the recovery process.

Use the following steps to start the system recovery:
Restart the computer, when the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the left Alt key and tap the F10 key.
If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
After the Acer eRecovery Management application has loaded, select your restore type.
Read the notice, and then click Next when you are ready, Click Nextto begin the restore proces and you may follow the on-screen instructions to complete restore.

Let us know if you need further assistance with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help.

Thanks. I started to do that this morning. It only gave me the option to totally restore to factory settings. Should I do this? How do I restore what I backed up? Will this get rid of the Dell windows I installed? Thx!

    hi..

The above stesp will re-install the Operating System, all the pre-installed Software and the drivers that was shipped with your computer. During the system recovery process using " completely restore to factoy settings" all data stored on your computer will be overwritten, it will get rid  of the Dell windows that you have installed. After restoring the computer you may copy and restore the backed up files.
