Hey there people,

thought i'd take this to the community to find a fix, since i can't for the life of me find one.

I simply can't connect to any bluetooth device.

I don't even know if it's Acer or Windows 8.1? I tried it both on my Acer and my Surface 2 and no luck

Already updated my drivers.

    Similar problem.

Just receiveda Harmon/Kardon BTA10 bluetooth device for fathers day.  Tried to connect to my V5-571.  My V5identified it.  Said Pairing.  Momentairly said 'connected".  then said "not Connected".

The Harmon/cardon device connected with my cell phone with no problem.

Tried several times and got the same resultsI am hoping someone can help me.  Thanks.   ChuckE

Have a V5 571P and had the same problem of 'connected' then after a second or two then 'not connected'. Have four devices that have been paired.

Updated the bluetooth drivers to v8.0.1.314 and could not  connect at all. The 'not connected' messagewould off for a second when I try to connect from my Android phone then went back on. With other devices I didn't even get that. Un-paired the devices and re-paired them again. Now I am back to the problem in the first paragraph. No progress.

As a note - can not get bluetooth to work under Ubuntu Linux either. Am dual booting Win 8.1 and Ubuntu 12.04. Linux is usually good at handling bluetooth.
