AC100 boot eSATA

Hello,

I recently purchased a AC100 micro server for SOHO use (mostly school experimentation). I'm very happy with my purchase; great deal for the buck Smiley Happy

However, I like to use a 60G SSD laying around as my OS drive and keep my 4 bays for regular high capacity HD. So I used an external HD enclosure I know to be working great on my desktop and tried booting the server from that. Unfortunately, the BIOS doesnt even detect the eSATA drive nor does it detect it within a running OS (I installed the OS on the HD in the meanwhile). Even the USB isnt fully working in the OS (shows only in drive management).

I dont mind buying a new enclosure but is there any known working eSATA drive out there for this server? I would believe so since the BIOS shows a fifth SATA port available.

Thanks for the help! Smiley Happy

After trying various devices, I think it might simply be a defective eSATA port... Smiley Sad
