I am trying to play video files from blurays with VLC and it doesn't work. Is the processor not powerful enough or is there some method to make these vids work?

I have played regular DVDs with and external devices, have not tried BleRay. Might need to get the Windows 8 Pro upgrade which claims to play BlueRay.

    Hi,

Try Potplayer or MPC HC configured with Lav video decoder. I had the same problem with VLC/Zoomplayer and XBMC..

You need to run dxva2 to decode your files.

My first choice: Potplayer, it runs 100% smooth!

    Good luck
