The RAM is on-board, so it is not upgradable.

The SSD would require complete disassembly of the system to upgrade, and is not supported.

We do offer versions of the Aspire P3 with both 4GB of RAM and a 120GB SSD.

actually 2gb ram is ok not lagging ... but 60gb storage really really not enough ... after installing OS win8 , ms office + few apps , add some video and mp3 only left less than 10 gb ...

Unfortunately aspire p3 with 120gb model not available at asia malaysia /singapore until now ...

Acer-Tommy, I just ran across the P3-171-6820.  I am ready to buy it but I cannot find out anything about a card reader and/or SD card slot. I would think that it would be present like most other Windows 8 Tablets. Does it contain one?

No sd slot or micro sd.

Not happy. Dont know why they didnt put one in theres plenty of room.

I have been told at the Microsoft Store that with a SD card you can "pool" the memory and there by increase to effective hard drive space. Thus gaining more space for insatlling programs, should it be needed. I would use the USB for either an external storage drive and/or for a USB Mouse when using the Keyboard.  Also I have not been able to find out any specs on the included Bluetooth Keyboard. I am assuming that there is no physical connection between the keyboard and the tablet sinc eit runs using BT. How is the keyboard powered?  Are there any ports or slots on the keyboard?

for aspire P3 BT you can recharge separately ...  I mean the bluetooth keyboard has batteray ....

I used also mouse Bluetooth ... it may cost more than normal usb mouse but it is very confinient and usb port can be used for other thing ... example I often to connect my printer or scanner to my aspire P3 usb port

I love my aspire P3 ... the only complain is ... the storate 60gb is too small for nowdays ...

    Acer-Tommy,

The SSD in the P3 is upgradeable? I know its not supported by Acer but it can be done?

Can i take to an Acer repair shop to do so not to void warranty?

    Thanks

I use P3 i5. But it is not useful. Maybe because only 2GB ram. I feels better use laptop pentium 3....
