Always have two Web Browsers

Learned from experience. One browser can be attacked and you will not be able to get to the internet. Have a second one on your computer that you can launch.

They all can be attacked. I know it is overkill but I have chrome, safari and firefox. They are easy to download and free.

Be careful to uncheck the part about the new browser becoming your primary browser or whenever you enter the internet this browser will launch.

Sorry, an added note:  I have all those plus Explorer, which got a bug or virus in it the another day and was unable to connect to the internet. Plus it was on the national news 2 days ago about a major attack going through Explorer. Not sure if Microsoft fixed it yet. So I am avoiding it until I hear about a fix.

You might ask why I don't avoid Explorer all together. I like the abilty to drop a shortcut on my desktop.
