A700 will not download video from Canon Camera

I'm a newbie to this forum and a new A700 user.  I was able to download photos from my Canon Powershot camera with no problem at all.  However, the tablet would not download any of the videos I took (.mov format) that were on the same SDHC card. It ignored the videos but accepted the still images.  I've searched for any similar problem/solution and come up with nothing so any suggestions this forum could be provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much!

Don't have any experience of this but have some thoughts on the problem. When you say that the tablet ignores the videos what exactly do you mean ? Are you plugging the camera in to the tablet and if you are can you actually see the video files. Are you using a file manager to attempt to transfer them. Do you have the option with the camera to shoot in any other format than .mov. I am wondering if the tablet can actually see the .mov. format and if it can't this may be the reason that the tablet ignores the files, possibly you need to convert the .MOV files to a different format.

EDIT : Here is a link you may find interesting, I'm not suggesting you opt for this software as i'm sure there are many other programmes available, but it would tend to suggest that .MOV is not compatible with android and has to be converted.

Many people have the trouble in playing MOV on Android which powers more than a billion phones and tablets around the world. Does Android play MOV? According to Android Official Website, Android phones and tablets don't natively support MOV as the input format. To play MOV on Android, there are two solutions:

Solution one: Install some Android MOV Players to play MOV on Android. But these players only support some special MOV formats. What if the input MOV files don't meet the requirement or you want to play other video formats on Android?

Solution two: Convert MOV to Android Phones and Tablets more compatible formats with Faasoft Video Converter. This is a highly recommended solution and you can play any MOV and other video files without hassle by this means.
