Aspire R3700 memory upgrade

I have had an Aspire Revo r3700 nettop for a while now, it's good for what it does but I want to upgrade to 4gb RAM. I used Crucial.com's system analyzer and then purchased memory of similar specification (but lower price) elsewhere. The memory I purchased says the following on its label: 2gb 2Rx8 10600S-9-10-F2. I bought 2 of these modules. When I put them into the slots on the mobo, and power up, nothing happens. No beeps, just power on and processor fan spins. I have tried with only one module and with both modules and also with one of the OEM 1gb modules and 1 of these 2gb modules. No joy.

Is there something special I am missing? I tested both modules in an HP Elitebook laptop just to confirm they're good, and they are good. Is there something I am supposed to do before installing the memory into the Revo?

Thanks.

If the original memory works, but the new memory does not, it probably is not compatible. From an internet search, I show it should take DDR3 800 MHz.

    The original memory is DDR3 10600 though...not 800...
