Trouble updating Arcade Live

I have an Acer Aspire M1610 windows Vista 32 bit desk top. I recently had to restore with restore disks that came with it . I am having trouble updating the Acer Arcade Live page. At first I had 7 files to update and it would fail so I went to Cyborlink and was able to down load 5 of the seven files and that worked but it still has an update available when I go to the home page and I believe it still has about 38 mbs left to update and it continually fails. Cyborlink was very helpful and asked me to send them a screen shot and said my home page for they're stuff was Acer and I needed to contact them. I hope someone can help me with my problem.

    Hi DRW1

Try reinstalling the Arcade program again - your copy may have got corrupted!

To do so, click Start>All Programs>Acer>Acer eRecovery Management. Next Click "Restore" from the left hand pane, then click the "Reinstall Drivers or Applications" option. There will then be a list of programs you can reinstall. If you made your AppDrv1 disk (when you made your recovery disks) you can also install from there if you wish.

Once the program has reinstalled, then try to update it.

It should have the eRecovery program, (and the recovery partition) - unless it has a different hard drive. The M1610 isn't that old!

If you cannot get it to work, try an alternative program like VLC or MPC-HC.

This system has E-recovery under Acer Empowering Technology, hoever i have all the cyberlink stuff up-dated but the Acer Arcade Live Main Page will not update and I don't know how to update just that one page. The e-recovery tells me to update all of windows and I really don't want to go through all those up-dates again. I am pretty much a novice on my computor when it comes to something wrong and this was the first time I had to use any kind of a recovery. It doesn't seem to bother any thing but I just hate to leave something undoneThank you for your time and troubles trying to help me but, perhaps I will just leave it, I don't know what else to do, thanks again.
