Hello there! I recently got an Aspire V5-552G laptop and i can't use the touchpad since the surface is very rough/hard to use. I can't really explain it, but is there anything i can buy that will make the surface a lot smoother? Maybe like a screen protector or something? When my hand is a bit moisty it gets really hard to operate the touchpad. I really need something to help me with this problem. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Sorry. I had similar problems with navigating the touchpad. My solution? An $8 wireless mouse from Target.

Haha, yea! I do have a mouse, although in lectures i really have no space to use a mouse Smiley Frustrated i just have my laptop on my lap..... Thanks for the reply though. Nobody know of anything you can put on top of the touchpad to make it smoother and like 'useable' ?

You need something that's really thin & adherent to the touchpad surface. But NOT SUPER-SMOOTH like transparent tape, saran wrap or a mylar glossy since such a surface tends to stick too well to your fingers as you try to glide over them. Something like Scotch invisible tape with the frosty surface might work better if you can get it in a wide roll or if you're careful about aligning thinner strips on the touchpad.  Electrician tape also seems to have about the right surface roughness --- not too rough --- not too smooth --- but just about right. 8^)
