Can an Acer Tech answer this? Also any release notes on these BIOS changes would be most appreciated!

What was the original windows version on your machine. If it was Win7, you should stay with the 1.x  legacy bios and not try to mess with 2.x UEFI.

I would really like to know also. I just installed it. What enhancements? I hate generic descriptions Acer provides.

Since installing the UEFI, did you notice any of the improvements mentioned in the link above? Did you notice any boot-time reductions?

    Hi,

Machine was always a UEFI boot. It is th BIOS I have upgraded, not the method of booting.

However, booting does seem a bit quicker with the new BIOS.

Machine seems to run a bit cooler and quieter too.

Always had the UEFI BIOS, was 2.21 prior to this. Still wish I knew what the "enhancements" are supposed to be.

I got out my slide rule and divided 2.28 by 2.21. So I'll guess it's about a 3.17%  performance enhancement. 8^)

Ha ha. Cheers for the link about the Bios situation Jack. It covers alot of what I was trying to do but never had the balls to try! Mainly because it went against all my know concepts of HD's pre UEFI.

Lol, still why can't they list the possible enhancements instead of a gerneric comment. Nobody seems to want to answer this. Guess I'm too focused when it comes to listing what an update actually does. I like to know what something is supposed to provide.
