Aspire V3-771 Wireless Windows 7 ultimate won't get back to factory settings

Hello everybody,
so I'm having V3-771-6601 laptop which I've bought in the USA 2 years ago. I've got some kind of a virus which was activating immediately after sign in. Some Interpol picture pops up and they wanted to pay them for a fraud or something like that. I've tried to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to go to task mngr but the virus won't let me do that. So I've entered in Safe mode and backed up all my valuable information. The laptop had windows 7 home edition. I've decided to install W7 Ultimate RTM. So when i was doing that, I've formated ALL the partitions which I saw on the screen. After that the i've got PXE boot problem. I've realised that I need to plug my lan cabel into it. OK. After that the computer won't boot, it just shows acer boot screen and immediately restarts itself again and again and again. I've tried to click ALT+F10. On the down left corner i saw "entering erecovery mode" or something like that. After pressing alt+f10 there is a "_" on the upper left corner, and the machene is frozen. So I can't even boot up to see the win logo, even I cannot return my laptop to factory settings. Just for the note I haven't got any CD with my PC, only power chord and thats it. The win 7 home was already instelled. Please guys help me how to fix my laptop.
best regards

Well, you could have made your own recovery disks when you bought your PC!

I agree it's a shame you can't get a copy of the disks where you live!

If you're happy to have a cracked version of Windows, that's up to you. Although you could be openning a can of worms, we'll agree to disagree on the matter Smiley Happy

As for the button problem, it might be a sign of a failing keyboard or it could be a software problem. Some cracked copies are so much changed, it could be an error in the code!

You could try and run a live Linux disk to see if it happens there. If it does, then the keyboard will need replacing.

I've even tried to do a sistem check via the windows 7 ultimate disk, but it showed me that "startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically". The os version is 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1

Have you tried removing the battery. If charged , replace battery. Push power on button, when your screen indicates movement then hold down alt key while tapping f10. Have your power cord charging. It should indicate reinstalling your operating system ! Hope it works ! Just did mine ! It indicates that it has reset it to the factory settings ! Good Luck .

If you've removed ALL partitions, you've probably removed the recovery partition too. Is the version of Windows 7 Ultimate a shop bought edition or have you downloaded it from somewhere?

Thank you for your reply! I've downloaded it from a ***** site, and in the comments nobody has complained about the problem which I'm experiencing. I'm thinking about downloading another version of windows 7 and try again. I wish I had a CD win win 7 home edition which was installed on the laptop when I've recieved it, so I wouldn't have been "forced" to deal with this problem Smiley Happy Any other suggestions?

If you want to download from ***** sites, then that is up to you. I am not here to preach to you....

I take it then, that you didn't make recovery disk/media when you bought the laptop? Really, the best thing to do is to buy recovery media from Acer support, then use that to reinstall Windows on your laptop.

Unfortunately Acer provides eRecovery CD ONLY FOR THE USA... I've installed windows 7 home edition this time, and separated the HDD into 2 partitions. After installing successfully the win7 home i saw only the partition with the OS , the other partition was "gone" ... I'm going to try again with this or other version of the win7. I hope that it is going to work.

    Can I make a recommendation?

You can download a legal copy of Windows 7 here - obviously download the correct ISO that was originally on your laptop (Home Premium 64 bit) and use the product key on the base of your laptop.

This will give you a legal, malware free copy. You can then partition the drive as you see fit.

Thank you for your recommendation! Really appreciate it, unfortunately the link doesn't work (I know it is not your fault). It reaches about less than 1gb and "unknown network error" occurs. I've tried another msoft link but bad luck again. Can you dig another Proper version of win 7 home so I'll stop bothering you Smiley Happy Thank you in advance!

That's strange - it worked for me just now. Perhaps their server was down when you tried!

Just to be sure, copy & paste the below link into your browser (or try clicking it now!):

    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-Multiple-Languages-X86-amp-X64/page60

Then click on the second one down (which is Windows 7 Home Premium X64) - this would have been the version that shipped with your laptop.

    I've tried on 3 different PC's and still http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24209.iso doesn't work. It stops about 949mb ..........

OK, I will try downloading it myself, to see if I get the same problem. It might be the site that has a problem....

There is another link here that should work.

Just to advise, that the first link I gave you - the one you had problems with worked OK for me. It was though a little slow, but it downloaded completely....

Ok, nevermind I've donwloaded the same version of the win 7 home from ***** site. It worked flawlessly. Unfortunately there is AWFUL SUPPORT from Acer. The drivers don't work properly. Keyboard shortcuts are not working. Wi-fi drivers not working ... NC

I'd imagine that is the "copy" you've download from the ***** site. Acer drivers work fine!

If there was any problems with them, them would have been taken down by now...

I admire your patience! I've tried to download the win 7 home from the official microsoft site - unlucky. I need to use the laptop, what should I do when I can't download the version from the official site - I'd try to find the same version from ***** sites right? Your words are logical, but my laptop Ain't. I have issues with wi-fi drivers, video card drivers and the keyboard. Sometimes it just starts "pressing ".""

Perhaps it's me. If I was in your situation, I would never use a ***** site for an OS. I would buy a new, safe licenced copy.

But as I've said: That is me!

Do you mean that the "." key is repeating? All the time or only when it is pressed?

I preffer to get the free OS instead the licenced one. Why should I pay for licence two times? I've payed them once when I've bought the laptop. Why should I pay again for it? Because their server is not working for my country ... hmmm I'd liked to buy the eRecovery cd but guess what , SHIPPED ONLY TO THE US. How would you feel you want to buy something but you can't just because you don't live in certain country :?  And obviously this is "working" for both things ...

About the button it starts randomly, after restart it is "fixed" but I don't know what is the reason. I pressed windows key + F for search and it started or i was using the mouse and it started ...
