I have an older monitor, ACER X223w, and would like to use DVI cable.  I can't seem to find which cable would work.

Is it the DVI-Single or Dual-link cable?

Thanks for any responses

  • Your monitor has a 24 pin DVI connector (DVI-D dual link) and implements TDMS. This has the potential benefit of less degradation of the signal than DVI without TDMS (which would use an 18 pin connector). Use a 24 pin DVI-D dual link cable.
Note that some cables have four additional pins surrounding the flat blade. I don't believe your monitor does so check that you don't get a 24+4 DVI-D cable that may not physically plug in.

Thank you for the info.  Didn't think to count the pin holes.
