    hi...

First you may check if the internal fan is running.

Over time dust can build up in the computer’s air vents causing air and heat to not pass through them effectively.  Using compressed air to clear the vents of dust can help resolve an overheating issue.  Be sure to use compressed air according to the instructions on the can.

To avoid excessive heat building up in the computer you should always use it on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface.  Using the computer on a blanket, pillow, or other cloth surface can block important heat vents.  It is advised to use the computer in an environment no hotter than 95°F.

I suggest you to perform a power reset.

    To perform a power reset:
    1. Unplug the AC adapter from your notebook.
    2. Turn the notebook over to remove the battery. Turn the notebook back over and open it.
    3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then release the power button.
    4. Turn the notebook back over and slide the battery back into place.
    5. Slide the lock tab back into the lock position.
    6. Turn over the notebook one last time and plug in your AC adapter.
    7. Turn on your notebook.
You may also reset BIOS to default settings. This will not affect any data stored on your computer.
Restart the computer and then keep tapping F2 key to enter BIOS.
Tap the F2 key as soon as you restart the computer since windows 8 loads too fast.
After entering BIOS screen, press the F9 key and then select "Yes" to load default and save the configuration.
Then press the F10 key and select "Yes" to save the changes in BIOS.
    The computer would restart automatically.
