I have an Acer Aspire V3 771G-9809 Laptop made on 12-26-2012 with UEFI bios V2.13. I flashed the UEFI Bios with V2.16 and V2.23 and they both failed with an error message “Invalid Firmware Image”. Now after the bad flash, my laptop will not turn off automatically. I have to manually shut it down every time.
It is equipped as follows per Belarc Advisor.

I did a search on the motherboard number and it resulted in the following:

Look at the difference between my laptop configuration and the researched laptop configuration. It looks like to me that my laptop was updated and that the update configuration has been left out of the UEFI Bios V2.16 and V2.23. This mismatch in configuration would certainly result in the error message “Invalid Firmware Image”.
Please have someone compare the UEFI Bios V2.16 and V2.23 with the UEFI Bios 2.13 and update them so I can flash my laptop to the latest bios version and allow my laptop to turn off automatically. Please let me know where I can download the updated bios update. This does not look like a difficult problem to solve.

Thank you very much for all the help you can give to get this problem resolved in a timely manner.

no, system with Win7 ship with BIOS not UEFI explained long time ago by Acer

BIOS will not flash for UEFI or back

"Invalid Firmware Image" does not sound like bad flash with error sound like it did not flash

something else probably make your system not shut down automatic
