Trouble watching CinemaNow movie offline A-100

As I have a couple of tablets that I use I could be wrong BUT I am nearly sure that I was able to download and watch off-line Ultraviolet library movies using CinemaNow app on my A-100.  I recently received a "notice" of a system upgrade from Acer that I uploaded and ran and THAT may have been the problem??  Right now the Acer says I am running 4.0.3 system.  Could this recent upgrade be the problem.  In contacting CinemaNow about the error code I get which is "tamper detected" they said "Thank you for contacting customer service, we apologize for the inconvenience,That mean that your devices is rooter please contact the manugfacture so they can unrooter, If you need any further assistance just contact us back.".  I was under the impression that the Acer was NOT rooted (of course, I really don't understand rooted).
PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!  It was really nice to watch my Ultraviolet movies on long commutes on Metra- now I can't!
Is there someway to back down on the system upgrade if "you" think that might help resolve this problem??

Thanks much!!

Larry

Very likely the CinemaNow folks didn't understand that your tablet had a recent operating system upgrade. You should be able to redownload their app to get it going again. They might have to provide you with a different activation, it depends on how they are setup...

Thanks. I have a request into CinemaNow tho' but am not holding out much hope.

Why is it that ever since I got my Ipad mini many months ago, I have NEVER had a problem downloading movies or any trouble with apps working including CinemaNow.  My biggest problem with Apple products is that I have had a couple of them stolen (from lockers, etc).  Is this why you have to hide Apple IPhones etc. whereas I can leave my A100 out on my desk and it stays there?? (Only somewhat facetious)

I have an A100 running Jelly Bean and was able to install CinemaNow, login and browse through the offerings easily. Since your personal preferences and account info is stored by Best Buy, just uninstall the app, power cycle your tablet, and reinstall. It should work fine.

    billsey--

Do you think the problem could be that I am NOT running Jelly Bean? (Just an upgraded Ice Cream 4.0.3).

How do you upgrade to Jelly Bean?

    Thanks.
