Liquid Glow now refusing to recognise speaker plugged into 3.5mm jack.

Hello There,

So, had my Liquid Glow since November 2012.  Never any problems, great little phone.  However, last Thursday night I was, as I usually do, using it as an MP3 and no problem.  Friday morning, it would recognise the headphone plugged into the 3.5mm jack.  Doesn't even display the headphone icon on the notification bar.  Anyone got any ideas?  Would be greatly appreciated.

    did you reboot?

this can be a mechanical problem on the headphone jack.

Yes, tried that.  I shut it down every night.  I've even tried a factory reset, but to no avail.

I think is a problem in the phone jack, maybe a leaf is bent inside.

Thanks for your reply.  I'm in touch with the Service Dept at Acer, waiting to hear from them.

If that is the problem, in your opinion, is it a 'self-fix' issue, or will I have to send it off to be repaired?

it's hard to know if you can self-fix.

you can only look inside the jack for any missing leaf or bent, BTW can be also a cold solder on the jack.

it's better to send it to Acer Service.
