Aspire M3202 Desktop keyboard and mouse continually stop working

I have  Windows 7. Ever since I bought this desktop the mouse and keyboard will stop working and I have to shut off the computer at the tower. There is no consistency that I can see. I may have many things open or none. On the internet or not. Working on a document or watching a video.

I am using the mouse & keyboard that came with the desktop. I have tried plugging and unplugging the devices and that doesn't help.

I can go months with it being fine and then it happens again. Really - no consistency!

    It could be the computer or the mouse / keyboard.

    Have you attempted to use a different mouse and/or keyboard to see which is exhibiting the behavior?

    If its a wireless keyboard/mouse sounds like they are faulty just like the ones with Aspire 5600U brand new out the box nothing works
