Greetings Dear Community,

I've encountered a problem with my laptop, I've bought it about 6 mounths ago (Aspire E1-571G) without any system installed, but since I was going away for work at sea I had no time to ask for assistance.

My laptop specs are (also I'm running Windows 7 x64) :

Intel i3-3110M (2.4Ghz, 3MB L3 cache)

4GB DDR3 RAM

and the core problem NVIDIA Geforce GT 620M with 1 GB dedicated VRAM

Off to the problem, I cannot install geforce drivers, not from Acer official site and form nvidia, everytime I run the install it says something along the lines of "cannot find compatible hardware" and in device manager under graphic adapters it says 1st Intel HD4000 (the integrated videocard) and the second Standart VGA if I browse it it says device cannot start code 10.

I would be delighted it someone could assist me.

Thank you, with regards and anticipation,

Ilja

    Hi Revanshi

Are you definitely sure it is the E1-571G model? The "G" refers to the dedicated graphics card, whereas the E1-571 uses standard Intel graphics?

If you are 100% positive, then the graphics card may have worked loose or even have failed. As your laptop is still under warranty, contact Acer support for your region to arrange a repair.

Let us know how you get on!

Yes I'm absolutely sure that it's a G model (plus the lable, and acer site recognized it as 571G). You see the first time I installed windows 7 I had the same problem, but somehow possibly with voodoo magic I've managed to install the driver. But a few days ago I was forced to reinstall windows becouse my nephew obtained a load of viruses making working practically impossible. So I formated and installed a clean OS.

The supplied Acer driver should therefore work. If it doesn't, then it may still have an issue with the graphics card.

I'd still contact support, even if it is an intermittant problem!

    Hey thanks for the assist.

I've managed to install the driver, was googling around alot and found out that there are many people with such issues, and also they recomended inserting a patched nvwin.inf to driver extraction folder in Display.Driver folder.

After doing so and replacing that file everything installed just fine, videocard is now visible as geforce620 in device manager and everything works well)
