Tablet complaints

Agreed: I have had several Acer Laptops as well as Tablets.

The A1-810 that I bought approx 3 weeks before Christmas I had it for a little over 2 weeks before it crapped out on me with this BootLoop problem.

I tried everything on the forums to get it backup and running, Even a Hard ReSet, And it did me {NO GOOD} Man Mad

So 2 days before Christmas I had to setup a Repair at the Acer Depot in Temple, Texas to have it fixed.

What really burns me is that when I was first setting it up I went through at least a half dozen updates on my A1-810 from Acer.

It would seem to me that Acer has had plenty of these tablets sent back in for repair, And there are plenty of complaints on the forums about this problem.

Why this problem has not been fixed seems kind of Crazy to me, Since it's not just the A1-810 that is having these problems, But several other Models of Acer Android Tablets as well.

I'd put this tablet up against my old Tegra 3 powered Lenovo A2109A any day, The preformance is that good.

BUT with this kind of problem if it goes unfixed, That may come to change.  Man Frustrated

i fully agree. nothing to add. next tablet may not be acer. on the other hand acer may become a samsung competitor opening its own kit, but i don't think it will never happen becuse software does not come from acer itself.

    True very true.

Kind of like DELL a few years back when they decided to start offering Linux on some of their PC's/Laptops.

Some Linux Users jumped at the chance to buy a Brand Name Computer that was well known with an Open Source OS, that one being Ubuntu.

But that speed was quickly lost when those who bought those computers realized that DELL didn't know SQUAT about supporting a Linux Computer.

And found out that if they really wanted anytype of Professional Support at all they were going to have to buy it from Conical.

Or do like the rest of the Linux users were doing since it's conception relying on the community for yheir only source of help.

They then quickly reali9zed that if they had to do the later they had already been doing that, If they had been using Linux.

So there for why spend more money to run a PC using Linux, When they could simply do as they had been doing and run one that they already have.

Or build them a custom one.

If this is the official complaints topic, we could also mention the problem of the obsolete un non-upgradeable Android 4.1.2 on these tablets (like my Iconia B1)

I just noticed in GSM Arena that Acer plans to release all their 2014 tablets with Android 4.2. This must be a joke.

Looks like Acer will be drumming up lots of new business and new customers.......for Samsung !

Sadly this more then likely is true.

    Mine the A1-810 was released with 4.2.2 and it's a 2013 model.

Conmsidering when I sent it in for repair it said it had Android 4.1 on it?

That being said you would think they would be releasing the 2014 model of tablets with Key Lime aka: Kit Kat.

You would think that Acer would want the latest and greatest from Google on their latest and greatest?

But sadly that most likely isn't going to happen.

Now onto something even more of a fantasy and we all know this won't happen.

Everyone of us who got a tablet with 4.2.2 on it got an upgrade to Kit Kat?

    YEA RIGHT!  Man Frustrated

I agree,  I bought my A1-810 thru HSN in july 2013 .  finished paying oct.   by Nov. either the charger wasnt working or the tablet battery .    finally bought a new charger, that seemed to work for a while now it wont even charge at all.   I am very unhappy with this.  I am diabled and paid good money for tablet that I loved  and has turned out to be a piece of *****!    Now i have to save for a Samsung!!!!!!!
