Miracast not working with ptv3000 on acer iconia w700

Hi, I am having an issue with miracast on my acer w700, I have recently bought a netgear ptv3000 so that I can wirelessly display whats on m screen to the tv with miracast. However when I add the device to devices it starts to connect and then suddenly disappears out of devices(windows 8.1). But when I look in the old control panel in connected devices the ptv3000 shows up. When I click devices in the slide in side bar then project an then duplicate or any other option there, it changes the screen size on my tablet to a square resolution and does not display to the t.v.

I have another acer laptop - (acer aspire 5750) and that has the exact same issue. However i have a surface pro that works without issues.

I am thinking it is a driver issue, but I am unsure of what drivers are required for miracast.

Thanks in advance.

I would love an answer too for this.

do you have the add wireless display option under project.

what version is your WiFi card driver?

I just thought I should add that when i go to devices - project I do not get an option to add a wireless display, it justs goes straight to pc screen only, duplicate, etc.

From what I've been able to find out. Without that add wireless display the device does not support miracast.

i think its do do with the WiFi driver but i cant find another one apart from the 263 version you have

From what i have found out so far miracast on windows 8.1, the network card driver needs t osupport NDIS 6.4.

Not sure if the wifi card / driver in the w700 supports NDIS 6.4 maybe the later driver linked about does.

A NDIS 6.4 Driver then shows the "add wireless Display" option needed

If not then its up to ACER or Quualcomm to relase a NDIS 6.4 driver the the wifi device in the w700.

Hi, now I am hopeful - hearing that 274 adds wireless idsplay option!

Although even through the link that was put up I was unable to download it and could not find it anywhere else, I will keep looking but if anyone can find a direct download link that would be very helpful.
