aspire a0a150 blank screen HELP

i need help i have a A0A150 one day it was working then the next it just went to a blank screen when you start the netbook the only thing that turns on is the power and the charging lite i pluged it to a new display sll nothing when the book turns on there are no fans nothing i tryed to reset the bios with the usb card but it will not update or anything i need help

 

i have tryed this and nothing happens it just sits there my lite on the flash card that tells me that it is doing somthing nevers blinks nothing im not sure i have tryed the usb to be formated in FAT FAT32 NTFS i have tryed all ports nothing and i left it for 10 to 15 min at a time i have tryed to talk to acer they wont even let me email my warranty isout or somthing

    Have you tried the Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 display toggles?

    just did nothing the thing just stays blank no hhd spinup not fans only the power lite

    Sorry. Not a good sign. The BIOS may have somehow gotten fried as none of the basic services (screen, HDD, etc) is being initialized. A remote possibility is that the BIOS battery shorted out or dead thus not allowing the BIOS to operate even on AC --- you might want to try re-inserting it's plug into the MB. Possibly someone else will chime in on this problem and suggest some easier things to try.

    ok i have no prob doing that where is it and i will look can i put a cmos batt in or do i need to loof for a dif type of batt

    The bios or cmos battery is attached to the motherboard so you must take the bottom and possibly pop the keyboard off in order to find it. The battery will look something like this. About the size of a nickel or dime, with a pigtail and small connector and could be another color. cmosbattery.jpg

    o ok so i need to go buy one if the old one is dmg

    ok i will pull the battery out unplug the power cord and then pull the cmos battery off then put it together and test it that way thank you i will stat there

    Thanks Jack for brining this to my attention, just posting now so that I get a reminder if the case goes any further. Hopefully it's solved, if not I'll "chime in" so to speak haha.
