where is firmware upgrade for K135 projector ?

I just got a new K135 projector and I cannot seem to activate wifi usage with the apps for the mac and my iOS devices (eDisplay apps)

I noticed this piece of paper that said that I have to download new media FW files by one compressed file from acer global website.  I am supposing that if I upgrade the firmware, I might be able to use the wifi capability of this projector.

I checked the site for downloads for my model, but there is none listed unless I searched the wrong place.

Can anyone help?

I'm not seeing any firmware updates on the drivers page, either.

Let me check on this for you to see what firmware is being referenced in that addendum.

If there is a part number on the addendum sheet, that would help immensely.

While I check for that file, you may wish to try the following:

    1. Open WiFi on projector
    2. Open WiFi on Mac book
    3. Choose WiFi(Acer projector/K135) on Mac book
    4. Link 192.168.100.10 on IE
    5. Download driver

    The P/N number is 36.8SQ05G001-B

I also followed your suggestion.  I downloaded the EZWifi pkg.  What it gave me was the Acer USB app, the eDisplay app, the Soundflower pkg, the Soundflower version rtf file, and the uninstall app.

I tried connecting to the projector using the eDisplay app but it cannot detect the projector.

The manual that comes with the projector instructs me to choose AP mode, but the network settings window does not even come up.  When I choose either DoWifi or Setup, it just brings up a window that shows settings for color and other stuff, but no network settings to be found.

I would appreciate if you could follow these steps and provide your current firmware for me, please.

An image of the screen would be most beneficial.

I'm working on getting the latest firmware availability.

Firmware packages are finally available on our Drivers site, under the BIOS tab.

Thanks.  I tried installing the firmware, but I don't think the procedure works if I'm using a Mac.  If there are any directions for using a Mac, please let me know.  Otherwise, I will have to try doing this by using a friend's PC.

Hello. I also tried to update the firmware of my K135. From 0.19 to 0.37. But it doesn't work. There was a message like "USB intializing - reboot in 15 seconds" (I don't remember exactly); and nothing apend after.

Now, only the basic funcctions are working : to display an image from the HDMI source. But nothing else : no media menu, etc ... The USB port is no more recognized by the computer. I did a lot of firmware updates before without problem for different kind of equipment (motherbord, SSD, digital amplifier, etc ...).

Is there a solution to solve this problem ?

Perhaps the firmware file given to you (us) is not the right one for upgrading from 0.19 to 0.37. I also want to upgrade my k135. Could somebody from support please give the right firmware for doing this?

nothing to do,  the best way is to return the product to manufacter.

I've removed the links from my previous post, which were pointing to the Drivers page links.

You are welcome to go to the Drivers page for the K135 projector and download the firmware from there.

    Ok, thanks.

I noticed that the update from 0.19 to 0.37 works differently than how it is explained in the supporting document. Instead of opening the update-file in the reboot-environment "press enter to update, press back to reboot" it only worked for me to open it in the fancy media settings menu, "firmware update". And it worked!

The funny thing was that i updated because i hoped the media player would play better, i had some audio break-up problems with certain files. Instead of playing this files better i now get the message "format not supported" which is a approvement of some sort...

I'm very sorry that you're experiencing issues after repair.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done from the Community to effect a repair on the projector.

You will need to contact your regional service center and complain directly to them about what you sent the projector in for and what was done (or not).

this is what annoys me revoyer of a defective product and return it to me the same without explanation (except changing mother that I did not see card ...). In any case, the number of days guarantee my product is 200 days instead of 365 when I did not use preque ...

I wonder if my update from 0.19 to 0.37 is an improvement. Some video-file-formats it could play with the media-player in firmware version 0.19 dont play in 0.37.

I found out that my audio-breakup-problem has a phisical source and sent my k135 for repair....
