I have a FX6800-Ofe gaming machine.

My FX6800-Ofe came with Windows Vista Home on it which as everybody knows totally sucks. I would like to install XP Pro on it, but was told that XP wouldn't recognize any memory I have installed over 2 gigs. Is that true? Most of my games are designed to run on XP and older operating systems. Will these games work on Windows 7? Don't know what the heck to do, but got to get away from Vista. When I bought my pc, I was told that when Windows 7 came out I would get a free upgrade to it, but they denied me of the upgrade which I should have expected. Don't want to go to Windows8, too new and unstable for me and according to my friends. Which operating system should I go to in order to get away from Vista?  Need help from somebody that really knows the facts. Thanks and need advise and help ASAP.

I wouldn't attempt a downgrade to win xp as there may be some hardware in the computer that drivers for xp are unavailable for. Being that you are familiar with vista, I would upgrade to win 7 as they are rather similar to use. Win 7 is also quite stable and much quicker running. Any games that usually run off xp can be used in xp compatibility mode as well. Hope this helps.
