Opinion of Touch monitor T272HUL, in particular, WRT ghosting

I'm considering the T272HUL monitor. A review--the only review I can find--says the monitor has a ghosting problem.

Is that other people's experience? If so, is there a resolution?

In general, what is your experience?

TIA.

yes, the monitor has a ghosting problem under certain settings. when dragging windows, scrolling text or moving the mouse, objects leave behind a "trail".

when i turned down the contrast, i noticed the ghosting became visible for black-text-on-white-background (which is the majority of the emails, web pages and documents I tend to look at). the only partial solution I have found is to keep the contrast at "50" but to turn down the brightness (i have it at nearly zero, because i find the default setting to be very bright). this makes scrolling black text on white backgrond and moving the mouse cursor look OK. however, text or objects on darker background still "ghost".

if others have this problem and specific solutions, please post here. thank you.

    Hallo

    Was meint ihr??

I'm considering this monitor as well, but am extremely nervous because of this ghosting issue. I'm a big time gamer, and the A#1 priority for me is that the monitor is sufficient for gaming. Just hearing the word "ghosting" would typically make me run the other way, but this is the *only* monitor that has everything I want: 27", 10 point capacitive multi-touch, Ultra HD, and a fairly decent 5ms response time, which is usually the main spec of a monitor that correlates to ghosting. So what do you think, will gaming be an issue on this thing? I'll have a return window since I'm buying off of Amazon, but I'd absolutely hate to get this thing, fall in love with it, and then have to return it because of ghosting. Any advice you could offer would be appreciated big time. Thanks!

My job bought me two Acer T272HUL monitors.

I hooked them up to my Macbook Pro 2012 using HDMI and saw images and text ghosting as I scrolled. It didn't matter the direction I scrolled (Horizontal/Vertical)

I then tested this with the below configurations prior to calling Acer

Macbook Pro HDMI to HDMI - Mac OS X 10.9.4

    Parallels Desktop - Windows 8.1

Surface pro 1 mini display to DVI - Windows 8.1

Surface pro 1 mini display to HDMI - Windows 8.1

Surface pro 3 mini display to HDMI - Windows 8.1

Macbook Pro mini display to DVI - Mac OS X 10.9.4

Lenovo Laptop Display port to Display Port - Windows 8.1

Desktop PC DVI to DVI - Windows 8

Desktop PC DVI to DVI - Windows 7

I tested using all different types of color settings, contrast, and brightness.

Nothing mattered. All images drastically create shadows as you scroll and text starts doubling up as you scroll. You can see it on the edges of windows dramatically when moving the window around.

I contacted Acer and they had me power cycle the monitors. That didn't resolve the issue.

They told me I could pay to ship them in and get them repaired as this isn't a known issue with the monitors. The idea of paying to ship them in the day that I received them is proposterous!

Instead, I took them back to our IT shop and they replaced them today for me. Guess what, they still have the same issue.

This is a blatant issue that Acer needs to fix! Especially if they suggest that I could send it in for repair and they would magically be able to fix it.

I don't want to pay to ship a defective product back. Either "Acer" can pay to ship it back so they can magically fix it or they can tell me what their fix is so I can apply it myself.

Poor customer service has lead to an extremely dissappointed customer. This product had so much potential. I hoped that I was getting a High quality IPS display with Touch. Instead, I got a crappy monitor with Touch.

The Touch on this monitor is pretty amazing by the way.
