I attempted to run NTI media Maker 9 and received the error message:

Flexible license manager checkout failed:

Trusted storage compromised; repair needed

Feature: MM9Acer

Flexnet licensing error; -157,424

Acer V5 571P

Any suggestions

Kind regards

Alan

Try unistalling NTI media maker from control panel program and features then restart the computer. Re install from acer erecovery manager and check if that solves the issue.

    Iremia.

Try reinstalling the NTI media Maker 9 from acer erecovery manager. Can find the steps in the below link.

    Hi,

You read my mind. I have done this and it installed without problem and is working. I also did a registry cleanup.

I have found four programmes so far that have had their registrations corrupted. Uninstall/Re-install appears to be the only solution. The only recent change I have made is to upgrade to windows 8.1. There have been some additional windows updates. But, there do not seem to be any similar issues raised by anyone else.

    Thanks

    Kind regards

Iremia, glad to know that the issue is solved.

If any of the acer programs stopped working the best option is to uninstall the program from control panel program and features( which is the proper way of uninstalling windows installed programs), then reinstall them from acer erecovery manager. Most of the preinstalled program error can be corrected that way. Windows 8.1 is yet to be stable. It has added support which will make the user feel that he is working with windows 7 like start button, booting directly to desktop mode etc. Windows 8 has better resource management than the previous versions of windows.
