Wireless Connection Acer V3-771

I have Windows 8.1 installed and cannot get my wireless connection to come up.  IIII these use to appear at bottom  of screen to click on for a wireless connection.

 

Can anyone help please.

 

Its not my Router Broadband connection is working on my old laptop so its not this.

 

I can't set up a wireless connection.

 

Any advice very welcome. Thanks.

    It is coming up No Connection. Help page is saying that a wire or line is broken so is not connecting to the wireless network.

     

    I will unplug everything, put in a new microfilter to the phone line and see if that helps.

     

    And check all of my wires and cables.

     

    Thank you for your help, I will come back if I am still having problems.

    To access the list of available networks from the Start screen, move your cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen to open the charms. Click or tap "Settings" and then "Network."
    Locate the network you wish to connect to and click or tap on its name. Hover over a network for a couple of seconds to see what security type it uses and its wireless protocol. Select "Connect automatically" if you use this network regularly and Windows 8 will automatically connect to the network any time you’re within range.
    Click or tap "Connect" to continue.
    Windows will scan for the security settings of the network and then prompt you for a security key. Enter the key carefully to ensure accuracy and click or tap "Next."
    Once you’ve successfully connected, the networking icon will change to depict the strength of your connection.
