Hi

I need to chat to acer due to my charger breaking and it should still be under warranty (Was bought in November approximately).

But the website is not accepting my serial/SNID number. By the sounds of it a lot of people have this issue and it's very frustrating!!

Can anybody offer any advice as I don't particularly want to call due to the high cost it will incurr.

Thanks for any help provided.

Sam.

This isn`t an answer to your question I`m afraid,but...I have bought several chargers from eBay for differing models for about £5...a very small sum and probably way less than a phone call would cost depending on where you are.

If you are in North America unless you are using a pay per use cellphone there are no fees to call Acer. The number is toll free. I have 1-866-706-2237 and press 2 for English.

There are several items missing from your request for assistance:

    1. What computer model do you have?

    2. What website were you attempting to use?

    3. Where are you located in the world?

Each of these things applies directly to getting support.

    Hey Tommy!

In regard to your message, about my SNID/serial number not being valid.

I have an Acer Aspire S5.

I am trying to access chat via the acer support site? If there is more than one website to do this with then I am unaware?

    And Im in the UK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks!

For UK chat and email support:

    http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/ask-acer

There is a link for Chat on the left nav bar.

If you still have difficulty, please let me know.

I'm just taking a wild stab here, but did you click on the looking glass right next to the box where you type in the serial/SNID?

I was also getting annoyed by my serialnot being valid for a while until i discovered you had to do this to make it acknowledge what you've typed in.

Just a quick note - I was trying to register, when i re-typed without capitals (even though its on there with capitals) it worked.

    Worth a try.
